Kaki Lion Belgium non-profit association is a long-standing, totally apolitical project, whose various social objectives are explained to you below. You will find that we do not only want to raise funds for our injured soldiers or their families in the most serious cases, but also to provide them with psychological follow-up when they feel the need or even listening if they feel the need, whatever their problem. The association is run by former active military personnel (returned to civilian life or retired) and by active military personnel. Our mission: to serve those who serve the country.
Here are the social goals that our structure will focus on:
Main social objective:
• Support for the wounded soldier (physically or psychologically)
• Family support of deceased soldier in OPEX (accidentally or not)
• Support for the family of the soldier who died in the exercise (accidentally or not)
• Support for the family of the member who commits suicide while on duty
• Assistance to soldiers suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) or motor disability -> creation of a network of partner psychologists and others
• Fundraising / Donations
• Protection of the military's image in the media
• Administrative assistance for the aforementioned cases
• Search for ambassadors / honorary members
• Search for partnerships (defense, units, others)
• Sale of equipment in the colors of the association
• Participation and promotion at remembrance celebrations
• Logistic support during operations (natural disaster) on the territory (food, equipment, first aid, ...) → creation of a group of volunteers in this type of case and subject to availability (former soldiers / FDO / first aid)
• organization or participation in conferences on various topics related to KLB's objectives
Secondary social objective:
• Relief and support funds for an injured police officer / firefighter / customs officer / VSSE / security officer or his family (in the event of death), depending on the circumstances and through related associations (Belgian Blue Line, firefighter associations , SPF finances, etc.)
